Twenty-Six PROMISING SCHOLARS are Honored for 2017
Since it was initiated in 2003, the annual awarding of Stone-Campbell Journal Promising Scholar Awards has become an anticipated, spring tradition among many colleges, universities, and graduate schools connected to SCJ. Students are selected by faculty as the most promising of their graduating class to succeed at their next level of biblical or theological education, whether in a master’s program or a Ph.D. program. These awards are presented at awards or graduation ceremonies.
This year, 26 students were honored, 11 graduate students and 15 undergraduate. Sixteen schools participated: Abilene Christian Seminary, Brite Divinity School, Central Christian College of the Bible, Cincinnati Christian University, Hope International Universitty, Johnson University, Johnson University Florida, Kentucky Christian University, Lexington Theological Seminary, Lincoln Christian University, Mid-Atlantic Christian University, Milligan College, Northwest Christian University, Oklahoma Christian University.
