Former Pepperdine Student Wins 2023 Isaac Errett Award

Jennifer Gash, an MDiv, biblical studies student currently at Fuller Seminary, is the 2023 Isaac Errett award winner for her paper "'Let the Children Come' On the Joy Bus," that explores the Joy Bus ministry in Redlands, California. She wrote her paper while being a student at Pepperdine University.

Jennifer will be reading her paper during one of the parallel paper sessions at the SCJ Conference. At that time she will also receive her cash prize of $500 from the Disciples of Christ Historical Society, who sponsors this award.

Lisa Barnett, Assistant Professor of American Religious History at Phillips Theological Seminary directs the selection process for this award.
