Johnson University Welcomes The 2014 SCJ Conference

After a enjoyable conference at Lipcomb University in 2013, the 13th annual SCJ conference will remain in Tennessee for 2014,  hosted by Johnson University, Knoxville, TN, on March 14-15

The theme is:  God in Culture: Music, Movies, and Contemporary LifeJeremy Begbie (Duke University; University of St. Andrews) will perform live music on the piano and discuss in two sessions on "Theology, Music, and Resurrection."   Craig Detweiler (Pepperdine University) will present two sessions on the theology of movies.  Phil Kenneson (Milligan College) will present one session: "Theology at Work."

Ten study groups welcome inquiries:

Student paper competitions are open to both undergraduate and graduate students in three categories:  Junior/Senior; M.A./M.Div., and Stone-Campbell History (Isaac Errett Award from the Disciples Historical Society).  Contact Les Hardin (les.hardin@johnsonu.edu) immediately to indicate your interest and to obtain the competition rules.  For the Errett competition, contact Rick Cherok (rick.cherok@ccuniversity.edu).
